Karla - from Looking Towards Heaven
Managing Editor, Creative Director

Karlas_photo

Karla's the first to admit that she is domestically stunted. She knows all of the things she needs to do, but doesn't ever find the time to get it all done (blogging addiction perhaps?). She don't have the tidiest house, and definitely not the cleanest. Once a year, she does go on a rampage and will toss toss toss and scrub scrub scrub. Then, for a few days at least, her home is the image of domestic order.

She's a Christian, wife, mother (to four kiddos) and designer. Her goal is to live life to the fullest and know that she is taking care of her family.

She blogs about her life and her faith at Looking Towards Heaven. She also blogs about her business (Fruition Designs) at Fruition Designs: Blog Style.

Fussy's Note- Karla is too humble to mention it, but she designed this site for us. She does excellent work!

Deanna - from Domestic Chicky
Creative Chicky

Domestic_chicky

After spending 15+ years as a stylist and makeup artist, I decided to stay home with my two boys and channeled my creative energy into sewing, cupcakes, and all things domestic. I love to make bags, clothes, and aprons - my love for aprons led me to create The Apronista, a place for me to indulge my Bree VanDeKamp fantasies, and share my love for making aprons, and collecting vintage aprons.
As the Crafty Chick,  I will be featuring tutorials for everything from sewing to scrapbooking, crafty products and tools, links to inspiring crafters and their goodies, and inspiration from all over the web. As the Beauty chick, I will be featuring new products, classic products that have stood the test of time, fool-proof tips and answering all of your beauty questions.

You can find me at Domestic Chicky, and The Apronista.

Ali - from Divine Domesticity
The Foodie Chick

Alisbutton

Since I was a teenager, I knew that I wanted to be a homemaker. Not just any ol' homemaker, mind you. I wanted to be Martha Stewart. At 24 years old, I have a husband, a newborn daughter, Violet, and an ugly, squashed-faced dog. I struggle daily to attain domestic perfection. Oh, and it is so, so much harder than I ever imagined.

Baking soothes me. There is something about the precise nature of baking that I find comforting. Very rarely do you see the phrase, "Eyeball it," in a recipe for cakes or cookies. What can I say? I like being told what to do.

Divine Domesticity is my personal blog where I ramble on about life, love, crazy relatives and my pug that will eat truly disgusting and horrendous things. Being a mom is the hardest and most wonderful job in the world.

Christine - from Watch Me, No, Watch Me
Dr. Diva

Christines_photo

I'm Christine from "Watch me!  No, watch me!"  If you've been to my site, you'll know that I speak in my bio of being a former physician…here's the downlow.  Almost exactly one month to the day after I graduated from medical school, my son was born.  I delayed my internship for six months to be at home with him, and when those quick months were drawing to a close, I requested six more. When the time came for me to enter back into the world of medicine, I simply walked away.  My son is nearly ten years old, and aside from the occasional weekend photo gig  (or home staging, my new entrepreneurial tangent), I've been a stay-at-home mom ever since.

So what am I doing here? I am not a board-certified physician, nor do I play one on TV.  I am, however, a parent with the unique twist of being both a stay-at-home-mom AND one who intimate knowledge of the medical world.  My vision for my role here at Blissfully Domestic is to sift through issues relating to our health and that of our children.  Every day we are inundated with new studies regarding our lifestyles that often only serve to confuse us as they often contradict each other.  I'll talk about these from my perspective, and I'll also share nuggets of wisdom I learned during my years of medical training.

You can find me at "Watch me!  No, watch me!".  You can also email me at no.watch.me@gmail.com.

Jamie - from Blonde Mom Blog
The Working Mom

Blonde_mom_3

I'm Jamie, a 30-something Southern soccer mom to two little girls. I'm an editor for a small publishing company and returned to the office four days a week when my oldest daughter was just 13 weeks old. After the birth of my second daughter in 2005, I worked from home for nearly a year, fitting in client e-mails and conference calls between naps and breastfeeding.

I now telecommute half my 32-hour work week, an arrangement my employer and I came up with when my oldest daughter started kindergarten. Whether you are work from home or commute to an office, I believe working moms can have it all, but my definition of having it all is much different now that I'm a parent.

I've been writing bout parenting, poop, and pinot noir at Blonde Mom Blog since October 2005. E-mail me at blondemomblog@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!

Carissa_bio_bd

Carissa joins Blissfully Domestic as the Cleaning Chick.  She offers advice and resources to streamline your cleaning chores and organizing projects.

When she's not devising clutter solutions, Carissa dotes on her husband, four year old son, and one year old daughter.

"My four year old took the photo here--I think it captures me perfectly:  yesterday's curls, lipgloss not lipstick, and I seem to have lost part of my head!

I developed a passion for cleaning and organizing in response to the overwhelming everything that comes with being a wife, mother, and homemaker. The faster I can get household chores done, the more time I have to spend with my family!"

Carissa is jumping into a new adventure as a WAHM as the Laundry Guide for About.com because she doesn't have enough to do ;)  Carissa is the voice of SAHMmy Says, a blog with a take no prisoners approach to time management for SAHMs.  Her current cleanup project is the 365 Day Clutter Challenge.
